The theme of this year’s annual Sigma Symposium is ‘Solutions to Scarcity.’ The search for new innovations to fight the future scarcity is enormous: nowadays many industries rely on the petrolium derived chemicals, high polluting systems and the presence of fresh water. The progression within this scientific area is of great importance for modern life and should not be underestimated. As solutions to scarcity is such a broad scientific field, some of its applications are closely related to (bio-)chemistry. In this year’s symposium we will examine which solutions have been invented, and what these inventions can do for us as (bio-)chemists, and for society
The symposium will take place on April 22nd 2015 in the Linnaeus building next to the Faculty of Science of the Radboud University Nijmegen. During this day, a diverse selection of lectures will be given with several breaks in between. The day closes with an informal drink to which all visitors and lecturers are invited.
The Sigma Symposium 2015 has ended, and we would once again thank all our sponsors and lecturers for this great day. We hope to see many of you return on our Sigma Symposium in 2016!
